Remember some of these staples of school life as a kid?
- Playing popcorn, cat and mouse, and shark with the parachute during gym period
- The weight of a heavy backpack filled with new school supplies on the first day back
- School trips on the highway, and making trucks honk
- The smell of Crayola crayons and test dividers
- Getting electric shocks and burned sliding down the school slides, but still getting back on
- The smell of brand-new clothes on the first morning back to school
Now imagine only being able to see all that from the outside.
That was little Rosie’s life no more than a month ago. She could only put pictures to the stories she heard from her friends about school.
Her parents couldn’t afford to take her to school. So, she could only dream of it.
Even though she’d already be 2 years older than her classmates, she was still hopeful that she’d join school soon.
You can imagine how happy she was when she was finally able to join kindergarten this year, all thanks to the kindness of our supporters.
Going to school is a given to most kids, but it definitely wasn’t for her.

How Does It Work
When you join us, you become part of a community of changemakers. Your new community comes together to make sure that the kids have:
- school fees so they don’t have to put school off to look for it themselves
- school lunch and snacks so they don’t have to go hungry while they learn
- learning supplies and exam materials so they can improve their test scores
- hygiene supplies like sanitary pads, tissue paper, and soap, so they can take better care of themselves
- school uniform, shoes, and jumpers to keep them warm, especially during the rainy seasons

Looking back on the first ever fundraiser last year, here’s everything our supporters helped us accomplish:
- In 2022, $1500 was raised to keep 3 kids (Queen, Rosie, and Ann) from dropping out of school

Meet the Founder
Hi! I’m Angela and I’m a community volunteer passionate about helping children in need. For the last 9 years, I’ve worked both officially and as a volunteer with at-risk kids, from 9-year-olds escaping early marriage, to troubled teens in need of general counseling.
Now I help provide support for the education of kids from extremely poor families; those who, without any help, would have had to drop out of school.
The goal is to help them get the education they’ll need to escape a life of poverty, and eventually help others as well.
